~THE WOMAN BEHIND THE LANTERN~

Hello everyone! 

  My name is Corrine and I would like to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born in Thunder Bay, Ontario but I grew up here in Winnipeg, MB. 

  I grew up in our Winnipeg's north end of the city and was a foster child until aging out at the age of 15. 

The lantern for me represents the porch light.. 

  The one on the outside of homes, the one people leave on so you can see your way to the front door of your home when it gets dark.. the light on the home that never existed for me. 

My foundation has been built by stones thrown and a no quit personality.. 

  I have been through a lot in my time and have pushed through this life which has shown me many things like: struggle, abuse, neglect, homelessness, hunger and vulnerability. All of those things I thought would break me only taught me the importance of compassion, love, kindness, integrity and respect. 

  This home, at my home, my lantern is always on.. no matter where you are, who you are, your religious beliefs, your ethnic background or your financial situations; I am always here and I will treat you like family. 

Professionally..

  I am a fully licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer who is available directly any day or time of the week. I own and operate a licensed mortuary in Ile des Chenes, MB and I am fully accredited and licensed by the Funeral Board of Manitoba. 

  I also volunteer for multiple organizations based around helping out our less fortunate and our children and youth in foster care. I do a lot in our communities to keep our hard earned dollars in our communities which is why I support local as often as possible.  

If financials may be an issue.. when dealing with the death of a loved one do not hesitate to ask me about potential financial help. It's ok, you can ask me! I want to help!

  Working to support my mission is a team of my own family members as well as other major partnerships to make sure we can provide you and your loved one the best possible service at the lowest possible cost.
